Hey guys. Just a quick reminder that I've been doing video reviews of JRPGs lately and that I will continue to do so. Today I uploaded a double review. I covered both Yakuza turn-based JRPGs that came out this decade. The first one, also known as Yakuza 7 (or Like a Dragon 7 in Japan) came out in 2020 while its direct sequel was released on 2024, also known as Yakuza 8 (or Like a Dragon 8 in Japan). I'll never understand why it's subtitled as Infinite Wealth, but I guess it's something open to speculation.
Now, this video review comes from two older videos. The Yakuza 7 review I got it from Episode 2 of "5 RPGs I Need To Talk About" which I released on January 31st of 2023. The Yakuza 8 review was a completely brand new video I did about a year ago but ended up deleting because, for some reason, YouTube shadow-banned it. It didn't even last a week, so most of you probably didn't watch it or don't even remember it. Which means that part of today's video is basically "brand new" content.
I wanted to explain that to you because it isn't the first time I've grabbed old reviews or clips from older videos. My Astral Chain and Grand Kingdom reviews are a similar situation; I did add some extra script and obviously the intro and outro, but most of the video content came from the first episode of 5 RPGs I Need To Talk About which I released on October of 2022. All the other reviews you've been seeing so far are 100% brand new content. But yeah, as long as I have an older review or clip that I can use, then I will. The large majority of the reviews will be brand new anyway since there's only so many older reviews or clips that I could use, so it's just better to sit down and write/edit everything from scratch. But there will still be the occasional review with re-used content. Remember that almost all of these reviews will barely get any views, which means I'll barely make any money out of them. So I don't see the point in going the extra mile for any of them. It is main content, however, not "filler" content. Please take these reviews seriously despite the jokes with the action figures.
Also, don't forget that I'm always adding them to my RPG Scores section here in this blog so you can click on the RPGs you'd like to watch a review of, at any given time!
Thanks for reading. Enjoy the reviews!
